Meredith Draper

Jewelry Designer & Weaver

I have always been intrigued with how vintage watches run, the movement of cogs and wheels working in unison to keep accurate time.  The watches I design with are from the late 1800’s to mid 1900’s and are individually crafted into pendents, bracelets and earrings, creating  unique, one-of-a-kind jewelry.

Some of these “pre-battery” watches have such lovely engraving, not only on the case, but on the faces and inside plates, that I try to reveal the beauty and craftsmanship of watchmakers of the past.  I often wonder what stories these watches could tell.  Quite often I have fun adding a bit of whimsy or jewels.

My husband Charles and I retired to Oregon and find this beautiful coastal area an inspiration to us both.  I was an AVP and Asst. Manager in a Northern California Bank.  The freedom of retirement has opened many artistic adventures to us.
