Tracy Webster

Tracy Webster is a mixed media artist from Canada, who now calls the gorgeous Oregon coast her home.  Florence is a great source of inspiration for Tracy, who often incorporates birds and natural themes into her artwork.

Tracy has had a love of the arts since she was a girl. Her Mom encouraged her by driving her to dance classes for 13 years, and introducing her to other art forms such as music, drawing and pottery.  Later in life, when Tracy was not doing art full time and was a young mom, she employed her art to pay the bills by painting store windows for the holidays and teaching art workshops in her town.

As the years have gone on, Tracy has shown her work in various galleries along the  west coast.  She was also featured in “FeMail Creations” catalog along with her ceramic arts. Her art has been sold to people around the world and even a celebrity or two.  When she owned her own store/studio she offered workshops to teen mothers, teenage kids at risk and children of all ages, because she is a strong believer the art is for everyone.

Among mixed-media paintings, Tracy loves to create jewelry and 3-D assemblage, that utilizes found objects.  “I love mixed media because it allows me to experiment with things that inspire me like, paint, paper, found objects, glass and metal.  Mixed media allows me to create with what is inspiring me at the time because there are no limits.  “I am able to explore new media types and supplies and meld them together.”

Tracy is honored and excited to be a part of Backstreet Gallery.  “It’s really rewarding to be among such talented artists and a wonderful experience to blend our talents and interests bringing our art to the community. We all have something different to offer and learn from each other.”
