Denise Diamond is a recently retired Professor of English and an alumni of Lewis and Clark. Originally from Chicago, she worked all over the country and internationally before landing in Florence. Exploring the Oregon coast inspired her to work with driftwood and that’s how Mama-Diamond Driftwood started. Denise uses driftwood, shells and elements found on central coast to examine and to appreciate our environment. Feel the wood and look closely and wonder, what will it be?
Denise enjoys theatre and is a member and performer with Last Resort players. Denise writes and performs poetry and Spoken Word in English and Spanish. She enjoys traveling and being in community. Also a member of Eugene Saturday Market, she is excited to be with Backstreet Gallery.
